Training choir of the Czech Boys Choir
Zpevacek (Little Singer) is a
name of the Czech Boys Choir's training choir with boys from 4 till 8 years of age. In addition to various performances
and concerts each year, the boys are attending singing camps in the Giant Mountains,
interesting excursions and entertainment or carnivals. The goal is to
awake with games in young singers the love to music and prepare them for
entry into the concert group of the Czech Boys Choir.
Members of the training choir learn with easy and more difficult songs the right vocal habits, the basics of vocal and voice technique and the most important elements of music theory. A large focus is placed also on the progressive adoption of sight-singing, and practice of proper intonation.
